Melanie most recently performed in The Boy From Oz for The Production Company and their production of Oklahoma!, for which she was also dance captain, as part of the 2018 season. She appeared in the Australian tour of Singin’ In The Rain which included a season in Tokyo, Japan, playing the role of Zelda. Previously Melanie performed alongside Hugh Jackman in his Broadway to Oz Australian arena concert tour and appeared in the original cast of the stage production of Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical.
Melanie’s other theatre credits include the World Premiere production of King Kong Live on Stage, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, the role of Constance in Rock of Ages, the role of the witch’s mother in the original Australian cast of Wicked, GFO’s Into The Woods concert and Shout! – The Legend of the Wild One.
Melanie has worked with Australia’s leading directors and choreographers for live and
televised events including Australia’s Got Talent, Countdown and RnB Fridays Live, and danced for stars such as Dami Im, Ricki-Lee and as an assistant for Cosentino, The Grand Illusionist. She was the lead female singer/dancer at Melbourne’s historical cabaret restaurant Dracula’s for their show Resurrection. Melanie choreographed Dedications, John O’Hara’s one man show for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival and theatres around Australia, and also starred as the hero model in the short film ad campaign ‘Take me where i want to go’ for the 2017 shoe collection for Mimco.
